This new role is working within a long established 3PL/4PL logistics company based near Newbury, Wiltshire.
Purpose/Objectives of Job:
To Manage the Operational and Administration requirements covering multiple accounts in order to fulfill orders, plan outbound deliveries and inbound deliveries day to day.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Daily communication with the customer by phone & email regarding their receipt & order requirements
- Planning inbound stock with customer/suppliers and providing booking slots.
- Confirming receipts & emailing customer daily with receipt advice & delivery note
- Receiving and processing orders on Warehouse Management System in line with customer priorities and delivery dates.
- Liaising with warehouse on order priorities and completion including key account requirements.
- Shipping orders in line with customer requirements, producing despatch documentation, delivery notes, shipping labels on various carrier systems.
- Monitor inbound shipments and liaise with clearing agents for clearing customs.
- Monitor outbound shipments and liaise couriers on any delays or delivery problems.
- Closing orders off at the end of each day with shipping method.
- Maintaining programme and spreadsheet to record transactions
- Providing reporting in line with customers agreement/SLA
- Promptly advise customer of any discrepancies, damages or out of stock situations.
- Updating customers should deliveries fail for whatever reason by 4pm each day
Person Specification
- Self motivated, with good organisational skills & communication skills.
- Knowledge of import procedures and ideally customs entries.
- Experience within a logistics 3PL or 4PL environment.
- Competent in the use of Windows Office Packages and Logistics Management Systems.
- Flexible approach with good attention to detail
- Good time keeping, Reliable & Team Player
Salary would be in the range of £25000 to £28000+Perks
