Logistics Coordinator

Our client, based in South East London, have an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Logistics Coordinator with international trade experience to join their Logistics team.  You will be responsible for arranging the worldwide import and export of our products in challenging and fast moving environments by road, sea and air.

Responsibilities

  • Arranging transport with hauliers and freight forwarders for imports and exports to deadlines
  • Use of internal computer systems and procedures to collate and supply all necessary shipping documentation as required by customers and 3rd party – B/Ls, LCCI Certificates of Origin, EUR1s, Certificates of Free Sale, DGNs and IATA Shipper’s Declarations.  Experience in Dangerous Goods shipments would be an advantage.
  • Liaising internally with colleagues and externally to customers and 3rd party service providers to provide professional logistics support with a strong emphasis on customer service

Skills

  • Worldwide transport experience (min 5 years) – a shipping, logistics or import & export background is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge and familiarity with shipping documents and Incoterms, plus customs procedures including IPR.
  • Strong working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Must have confident and effective verbal and communication skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team, to deadlines.
  • Essential to be able to prioritise and look at situations pragmatically to find the optimal solution.
  • A high level of attention to detail is a must

The package on offer is in the region of £25000 to £28000 aae, plus Health Care, Bonus, Company Pension, plus incremental holidays upto 30 days.
