Shipping Administrator

This role is to assist the Shipping Manager with day-to-day administration of export shipments, Imports, Cross Trades and raise Dangerous Goods Notes for ADR & Sea freight shipments.

The salary is £25-30k

Holiday starts at 23 days rising to 25 after two years.

Duties Include:

1.Export Customer Complaints

Investigate any logistics /documentation complaints regarding the Export Sales relevant to their shipments.

2.Liaising with manufacturing site where applicable.

3.Provide worldwide freight quotations for air, sea and road as required for customers.

4.Work closely with the Regional Sales Managers (RSM) communicating logistics information for their customers.

5.Handle customer freight enquiries in a timely manner

6.Liaise closely with the Production Managers to ensure information is accurate and communicated effectively.

7.Ensure that the scheduled despatch dates for all orders are shipped in a timely manner.

8.To organize / arrange collection & delivery of all exports to overseas clients including the preparation of processing export documentation.

9.To raise Dangerous Goods Notes

11.Ensure goods are shipped as specified on sales contracts by Sea, Air & Road.

12.Work closely with Chamber of Commerce, Banks to arrange, Freight Instructions, Bill of lading checking & distribution, Chamber documents EG. Cert of Origin, UK EUR 1s Certificates of Free Sale and Marine Insurance.

Liaise and negotiate with freight forwarders

Key Skills:

•Knowledge of Incoterms

Qualified to raise DGN for Sea & ADR.

•Knowledge of shipping chemicals

•Understanding of Letters of Credit / Cash against Documents, International Banking

•Understanding of international sales across the African Continent and Middle East

•Good customer service skills

•Excellent communication skills

•Good written and verbal English
