Expired: Shipping Administrator

We have a client looking to recruit a shipping administrator for their company based in Farnborough.

This is a commercial company so knowledge of import/export shipping in this field would be an advantage.

Must have knowledge of Letters of credit and Cass accounts.

Hours are Mon-Fri 0830-8pm

Job Spec:

·Minimum of 3 years Import/Export experience

·Full understanding of Incoterms 2010

·Proficient in L/C and CAD documentation and processing.

·Experience and knowledge of export legislations and procedures including approved exporter, AEO status, hazardous goods.

·Good ability in using Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

·Exceptional attention to detail

·Ability to manage own workload and drive results

Good communication skills

·Providing accurate shipping instructions / assistance and despatch / shipping paperwork globally in accordance with customs procedures and legislation, including specialist documentary requirements and LC / CAD processes.

·Co-ordinating packing and freight transportation.

·Liaising with sub contract companies to ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers’ requirements

·Providing shipping support. Arranging the despatch, shipping documentation and collection for Exhibitions / repairs.

·Controlling demo and exhibition equipment in conjunction with the internal sales, marketing and service teams.

·Invoice generation.

·Completing shipping certificates (EUR1 / ATr / C/O) / documentation and maintaining shipment records in accordance with HMRC and audit standards.

·Signing off freight / packing invoices - Querying any invoices which are incorrect.

·Controlling all imports into the UK by providing customs clearance instructions to the necessary clearance agent within a small-time frame to minimise storage costs.

·Correlation and creation of monthly shipping spreadsheets (Excel) to enable Weekly / Monthly invoicing / despatch.

·Assisting with shipping KPIs, forecasting and revenue recognition reporting.

·Minimise business risk and highlight any risk issues.

·Providing shipping training and knowledge sharing within the business to increase awareness and continually promoting compliance.

·Working to achieve set annual objectives and projects

·All aspects of general administration

·Any tasks assigned by the department manager / team leader that are related to shipping duties
