LOGISTICS AGENT (2 VACANCIES): Based in Middlesex, two logistic agents are required to aid and assist clients in all phases of job preparation. One applicant will work Mon-Fri, and the other chosen applicant will work Sat-Wed. Main daily duties will involve telephone work, taking job orders from clients, assist in providing clients with continuous notification and follow-up, tracking and tracing shipments, hourly checking of job files, set up and organise deliveries, and keep billing up-to-date. The ideal candidate must work well unsupervised under pressure, be confident when dealing with clients, and create a positive environment. They must also have good spelling, reading, geography and arithmetic skills, be able to demonstrate ability to identify and solve problems and demonstrate knowledge of company policies and procedures. The chosen candidate must also have to ability to sell clients the proper service type, to be organised and be able to prioritise.
The chosen candidate must have excellent communication and computer/typing skills, demonstrate experience in airline routings, both international and domestic, have knowledge of time zones and geography (including countries, major cities, airport codes, transit times, etc), knowledge of courier and Air Freight services and knowledge of arranging sameday deliveries, on-board couriers and direct drives.

The ideal applicant would be confident and someone who is self-motivated, organised and pays attention to detail. Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 10.30 - 19.30. Previous experience working within a courier operations department essential. Must be a strong team player, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work on own initiative. Level 4 Aviation Security would be an advantage but not essential. Flexibility is a must as the role is based on a 3 shift rota and 1 in 3 weekend shift, Times for shifts are as follows: Early 08:00 - 17:00; Middle 10:30 - 19:30; Late 12:00 - 19:00.
