NIGHT EXPORT CLERK

We are looking for an expereienced export clerk to join this forwarder working nights.

Duties Include:

  • Manage and control the export of all shipments out of or transshipping through the UK.
  • Ensure all shipments are processed and dispatch in time to meet the relevant airline departure
  • By controlling the exports aim to improve the external working relationship with the handling facilities and overseas offices and a clear communication line with other departments
  • Ensure the correct job process flow is maintained and customs entries are filed accordingly for record purposes.
  • Manage the receipt of all outbound files from Customer Services on a daily basis to ensure that shipments are processed and dispatch to the airlines to meet the respective cut off times
  • Label and prepare shipment for export (some heavy lifting may be required)
  • Provide clear and accurate information regarding the handling of the shipments especially when shipments are delayed
  • Communicate with Customer Services and Transport in regards to the collection of shipments back to the LON office. Communicate with airlines and handling facilities.
  • Exports primary function is to gather the information required to export the shipment so that the transit time can be achieved
  • Post flight and trace investigations to improve export service. Obtain handling reports and refunds where appropriate.
  • Control sheet and file management to ensure the information is complete and accurate.

Must Haves:

  • PC/System literate
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Ability, through knowledge, to adapt and deal with enquiries & day to day issues
  • Strong professional telephone manner
  • Eye for detail
  • Able to think on your feet
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to liaise with other dept, demonstrating good communication skill
  • Experience in dealing with people and speaking to clients
  • Experience in the courier or freight industry

EXPORT MANAGER

We are looking for an Export Manager who has a minimum of two years experience within Air freight supervisory or management to join this large forwarder. The role will invlove:

  • Achieving export department budget goals and non-finanical objectives.
  • Managing the movement of products out of the country in accordance with organizational policy and procedure and to comply with relevant law's and processes.
  • Managing and developing direct report team in line with personal and corporate objectives.
  • Building strong relationships with nominated key customers, through a commited approach towards delivering first class service performance, innovative solutions, proactive revenue and cost managment. The objective being to fully surpass customer expectations across all levels resulting in excellent key customer retention and smooth implementation of new customer business.

Duties will include:

  • Day to day management of Export department.
  • Manage all staff reporting to the position so as to effectively recruit, train, evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor their activities.
  • Ensure customers communication is delivered to required standard.
  • To work closely with business development team to define, scope and implement projects to meet customer expectations.
  • Attend review meetings with key customers as necessary.
  • Produce and maintain standard operation procedures built around specific customer requirements.
  • Carry out regular performance review with team members. * Ensure department is fully compliant with Business management systems.
  • Monitor, record, analyse and report on activites, trends and recommendations relating to export activites.
  • Liaise with other departments in order to establish and maintain effective ad relevant export activites.

GLOBAL CO-ORDINATOR

We are looking for a Global Co-ordinator who has experience within Export Airfreight to join this forwarder.

Purpose of job:

  • Co-ordinate the movement of air shipments, customs clearance and delivery.
  • Track air shipments during until final delivery.
  • Negotiate the best dervice and price from suppliers and achieve best price
  • Ensure that all shipments are undertaken to exceed customer expectation in terms of standard servicre, costs and time frames.
  • Operate within the company strategy and objectives.
  • Follow internal procedures and standards.
  • Customs liaison.*Provide customer quotations.
  • Flexibility to support other members of the team as necessary.

Skills, experience and education required:

  • Can cut AWB & deal with airway bills
  • Solid understanding and expereience of airfreight operations
  • IATA Dangerous goods certified
  • Knowledge of sea and road
  • Strong administrative,organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to identify new business oppertunities
  • First class customer service skills
  • Previous experience of working within forwarding companies.

EXPORT AIR SUPERVISOR

We are looking for an Export Air Supervisor to join this freight forwarder, You will be supervising 3 to 4 Staff and must have experience of supervising within the industry.

AIRFREIGHT OPERATIVE

We are looking for a Aifreight operative to join this busy freight forwarder.

Main functions for the role include:

  • Reporting to the Airfrieght import or export team leader on a day to day basis.
  • Processing of Import/Export shipments as required.
  • Day to day liaison with the airfreight customer dervices team to ensure successful and efficient operation of the airfreight department.
  • To ensure all shipments are processed to customer standards.
  • To ensure quality processes and procedures are adhered to and maintained within the departments.

Main Duties include:

  • Create files and process all Import/Export shipments via ProCars.
  • To book Export shipments with airlines and/or gateway as necessary.
  • To complete customs entries as appropriate.
  • To pre-alert all export consignments as and when required.
  • Invoicing customers/overseas offices as required.
  • Complete export trunking manifest and associated on hold report ensuring all freight is correctly manifested.
  • To arrange delivery of all import shipments with local transport.

Must have:

  • Good Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be educated to GCSE Standard. 
  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience within a forwarding or logistics enviroment.
