We are looking for a Customer Service Executive to join this large forwarder. Duties will Include: 

  • To serve clients professionally and efficiently.
  • To liaise with all key operational parties
  • To actively contribute to and support all sales/commercial activities.
  • To process operational and commercial documentation in accordance with established procedures and standards.
  • To apply all defined Credit Control rules & processes
  • To understand the file accrual / provisioning process
  • To undertake all tasks & functions in accordance with Company Policies, Practices and Standards
  • Sales invoices raised in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Constantly review vendor working processes and seek improved service levels.
  • Produce reports and statistics as required.
  • Assist the sales team with quotations and client/product knowledge.
  • To assist the Field Sales Executives as required and perform other sales related tasks as requested by the Branch Manager
  • Develop and maintain the Standard Operating Procedures or Internal Operating Procedures as required.
  • To attend client/other meetings as required
  • To make sure that the Team Leader / Operations Manager is aware of your training needs

REGIONAL MANAGER- SAUDI ARABIA

We are looking for a Regional Manager to join this large forwarder in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for:

  • Overall management of the region.
  • Planning, organizing and supervising all regional activities and operations.
  • General personnel management of the region within the company policies including training, motivation and development needs.
  • Provide necessary directions, guidance, and support to area sales team including pricing strategy suitable for each region market condition.
  • To ensure high service levels are implemented and maintained at all times in strict adherence to FFD Quality System and procedures to ensure higher satisfaction of customers.
  • Periodical review and evaluation of the system so as to improve the existing system or procedures. 
  • Compilation and analysis of data and regular submission of reports, information with views and feedback to GM, FFD to aid planning, improvement, control and decision making.
  • Meet periodically with GSA Airlines, Shipping Lines, Transporters & Sub Contractors.

BRANCH MANAGER- BAHRAIN

We are looking for a Branch Manager in Bahrain to join this busy forwarder. You will managing around 40 staff and will need to have experience within both air and ocean. You need to be a stong manager with appropriate skills in diplomacy.

OPERATIONS CLERK

We are looking for a Operations clerk to run all aspects of operations for this small office. You must have experienced within imports OR exports. Cross-training will be provided however experience within both would be an advantage. You must also have knowledge of NES.

 OCEAN CLERK

The main purpose of this role is to perform clerical duties in the ocean Export Department, including documentation and filing in order to achieve the company's growth and profit objectives.

Duties Include:

  • Taking orders and arranging pickuos
  • Reviewing, checking and verifying Ocean documents as privided by shippers
  • Strictly follow the correct handling prcedures
  • Completeing relevant shipping documentation as required
  • Recieve and update pre alerts in a timely manor
  • Ensure that the customs documents are filed correctly
  • Ensure that all documents are prepared accurately

Must have:

  • At least 3 years current experience in the Freight Forwarding Industry
  • Thorough understanding of ocean shipment documentation and Operations/Industry knowledge is an advantage
  • Strong MS Office skills including: Excel,PowerPoint and Work
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A proven history of providing exceptional customer service.

 EUROPEAN PLANNER

The main purpose of this role is to maintain and improve service levels, minimise costs by creative planning of international loads and achieve movement of French part loads in the most cost effective method. 

Main Duties:

  • To Manage personal profit and loss for freight movement within designated geographcal areas, by ensuring that production costs for part loads are reduced to or velow market rate.
  • To action remedial plans to maximise/limit exchange fluctuations and market seasonality.
  • Ensure that controlled line-hauls maximise direct collections, direct deliveries where network on carriage is cost prohibitive.
  • Respond to queries regarding final mile network delivery wihin specified timeframes. Liase with Agent/Licencee and resolve anomalies to ensure freight movement at lowest possible corrective cost.
  • Ensure all part loads are delivered on correct day as planned and to relay information back to customerservices regarding issues and confirme delivery.

Experience Required: 

  • Must be Fluent in French both verbal and written, Spanish would also be an advantage
  • Must have good solid European transport background (minimum of 3 years)
  • Must be Procedure driven with a keen eye on continuous improvement
  • Must be creative and able to work under own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Proven customer skills and able to provide a pro-active service to all clients.

CUSTOMER SERVICE OPERATOR

This a varied role but the main ussue is customer service and providing an excellent service at all times.

Main Duties: 

  • Customer Liaison/Customer Service: Quoting customers (& following up in quotes), taking orders/bookings, answering queries from existing/potential customers (trailer availability, transit time etc)
  • Subcontracting: Liaising with network of hauliers.trailer providers/contractors, sourcing trailercapacity from them, negotiating rates with them and organising transport operations by road as per customer requirements.
  • Monitoring transports, ensuring that the order foes smoothly from collection to delivery, solving problems, updating and reporting back to customers delivering a faultless customer service.

 Must Have:

  • Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken)
  • 1 year experience minimum in the european road transport/ freight industry (export and or import)
  • Good communication skills, interperonal skills and negotation skills
  • Good organisational Skills
  • Enthusiasm and be pro active

To work within Sales in a new office in BIRMINGHAM.  This is a very much field based role, assisting the company to reach its budgeted target by visiting and selling services to companies in the West Midlands, with an initial focus on Birmingham.  To aggressively grow the revenue and gross profit of the company through targeted sales performance.  This role will primarily be field sales and will involve extensive on site visiting of customers.  The ideal applicant will be: Revenue focused individual with a motivation to succeed; Have at least three years experience in the transport/distribution industry; Must have a proven track record in Sales, Courier Customer Services or Operations with a willingness to succeed in a challenging environment; Have good organisational skills with experience in presentations and spreadsheets.

This busy same day/next day courier company requires a flexible Logistics person to co-ordinate all their collections/deliveries for the company.  The ideal applicant would have a logistics or transport background and have excellent customer services skills.

You will be working as part of 10 people in a Multinational Freight Forwarding company in their Aberdeen offices. There are 45 offices in 24 countries, and this is increasing all the time, with UK offices in Aberdeen, Manchester and Ipswich, they deal in all types of Shipping Air, Road and Sea. Training will be provided for any candidate to make them fully Multi-modal, as this is the way this office prefers to work.  Ideally you will have 2-3 years experience in Air, Road, Sea Exports / Imports (Both preferable, but one obviously essential Cross training will be given.

New MANCHESTER office of a Far East freight forwarder requires a good all round Operations clerk to undertake all and any aspects of the day to day operation of the office.  The position would be export bias, but a knowledge of other modes of transport would be an advantage.  Working closely with two other members of staff there will be excellent prospects for the ‘right' applicant.
