We are looking for an Innovative Financial Controller to drive exciting developments in Finance

This position will lead across all financial control aspects for the UK business and be the local expert adviser for accounting and tax issues, ensuring both compliance and valued input into commercial decisions. This role reports directly to the Finance Director UK and requires a strong partnership with the UK Operations and Global finance teams.


  • Support the Finance Director in establish efficient processes that support the financial responsibilities within the Company.
  • Identify opportunities to utilise our systems further.
  • Support the wider SMT in their financial reviews and planning.
  • Oversee the production of all monthly company management accounts including the creation of divisional and product monthly regional reports for presentation to the Operational team.
  • Oversee the creation of monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends and financial forecasts.
  • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
  • Monitor the working capital management position of the business in order to report progress to the executive team.
  • Support ad-hoc finance projects such as, Fast-Close and Finance Transformation implementation.
  • Be an active member in the implementation of a new accounting system ensuring that adequate processes and procedures are developed.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported.
  • Establish and implement financial reporting systems.
  • Ensure accurate and timely statutory reporting. Ownership of YE audits.
  • Develop and review budgets and financial plans.

SALARY £ 50-60K

Ideal candidate

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant PQE
  • Experience in MS Dynamics AX is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous Financial Auditor experience in a known financial audit firm is advantageous
  • Be a sparring partner to the Financial Director
  • Strong knowledge in accounting principles.
  • Relatable experience in a similar senior level role; ideally within a multi-site business.
  • Technically strong with excellent analytical skills.
  • Experience in managing/supervising staff in a finance function is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels.
