The job role:
Line Management:
Communicating and implementing business strategies within the department and reporting back to senior management
Ensuring departmental KPI’s are met
Mentoring, coaching and supporting team members within the department
Effectively managing employee relations, ensuring appraisals, performance reviews are carried out on a regular basis
Ensuring that staffing requirements are met both in terms of volume and skills
Applying company policies and monitoring that working standard are met
Compliance:
Creating and maintaining SOP’s as required and following an audit protocol
Reporting all non-conformities in line with the Quality Management System
Ongoing review of processes to enable continuous improvement
Running a safe operation by analysing risks and follow health and safety requirements
Taking responsibility in reviewing practices against the requirements of legal compliance regularly and follow a formal process to address any issues
Working together with Customs department to ensure HMRC compliance
Planning & Budgeting:
·Maximising distribution and transport capabilities
·Analytical and proactive approach to fulfil customer requirements and to ensure the effective management of the department
·Forecasting and planning for new projects and peak periods
·Effective workforce and stock planning aligned to the needs and priorities of the relevant forecasting reports
·Assisting with creating pricing for new customers
Reporting:
·Define the reporting infrastructure, with consistency, identifiable metrics across defined business groups.
·Providing executive management team with your insight and foresight to support business continuity
·In case of underperformance assess impact severity, liaise with relevant parties and report your findings promptly
Stakeholders:
·Proficiently liaising with all internal and external stakeholders, developing key relationships
·Ensuring all SLA’s are met
·Building effective working relationships with other departments
·Managing and supporting customer onboarding
