The purpose of the Office Admin role is to support and provide the company with fulfilling all admin duties.  Our client is looking for someone with previous administration experience and knowledge in freight forwarding is an advantage but not essential.

Salary £23-25k hours are Mon-Fri  37.5

Outline of the role:

Needs to fully understand the needs and drivers of the business and how best to integrate these into daily tasks.

Must work closely with colleagues, other managers and departments to build relationships well at every level of the business and be as involved as possible to support their day to day role.

Must be an inspirational candidate and understand the concept of working as a team with responsibility.

Must complete all required reporting expeditiously and accurately

Must have a flexible approach as no two days are the same and situations will arise which simply have to be dealt with even if not outlined within a job description

Must have an understanding of Health and Safety issues and conduct Risk Assessments when required

Must able to analyse data and able to produce some basic reports.

Office admin role will be in possession of sensitive information and therefore must understand the need for strict confidentiality

The role will involve securing stationary and other office purchases and should able to negotiate and secure supplies

To administer to the compliance standards and regulations as laid down in the Company handbook

Help with insurance claims and keep Up-to-date with records and requirements

May be required to produce adhoc reports

Assisting with Marketing projects Sourcing and ordering stationery and office marketing materials

Assisting with arrangement of Travel for Staff personnel

Qualifications:

Experience in a previous administrative role

Proven work experience as an Administrator or within an office support role. Logistics /Freight forwarding Services experience is useful but not essential.

Polished, personable and energetic

Hold the ability to liaise with people of all levels inside and outside the organisation with discretion

Organised with strong attention to detail

Ability to forward think and pre-empt scenarios

Flexible and pro-active, with a 'can-do attitude'

Intermediate or advanced user of Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook

Enthusiasm for learning HR, regulatory matters and ISO related matters

A strong multi-tasker who genuinely enjoys working to schedules and deadlines

Able to work independently, managing conflicting deadlines with ease and efficiency

An excellent communicator with exceptional organisational abilities

Proficiency in English, both written and verbal is essential
