This large freight forwarder is looking for an experienced operational freight applicant to work within a major client as an Implant in the Bristol area. Initially a 30 hour contract, you will be working closely with another member of staff covering the normal working hours.

Job Purpose:

•Customer facing role based at our client in Bristol.

•Ensure shipments are delivered on time and within budget using all transport modes.

•Ensure the company meets its obligations for the contract.

Key Activities:

•Customer Relations (internal & external contacts)

•Liaise with customer & carriers on a daily basis by telephone, e-mail, planning transport and managing on time shipment delivery.

•Data input into the IT systems and other tools used for shipment and KPI management.

Job Process:

•Duties will include the following key activities:

•Processing shipments in SCi and use of other IT tools.

•Despatching shipments to ensure delivery on time using various modes of transport

•Maintaining databases and updating customer with information as required.

•Liaising with carriers to plan & book transport.

•Understanding and complying with specific country regulations

•General office Administration.

•IT Generalist knowledge – MS Office programmes: Outlook, Word and Excel.

Specific Technical Requirements:

•One years experience in AFR, OFR, Road & Customs requirements (all not essential).

•Excellent communication skills both Oral and Written.

•Excellent Customer service skills.

•Ability to work under pressure and be flexible.

•Excellent PC and numeracy abilities.

•Attention to detail is paramount.
